Jury Evaluates 2012 Student Case Studies

23/02/2012

College of Europe students presented case studies on state transformation to a distinguished jury, chaired by Meglena Kuneva, former European Commissioner. The 2012 case studies include the following projects: state reform in Paris, France; health in Castilla-la-Mancha, Spain; employment in Nürnberg, Germany and smart mobility in Brussels, Belgium. The students received valuable feedback and constructive suggestions on how to improve their presentations, in time for their next visit to the agencies that are serving as case studies. The event was rounded off by a presentation by Anne Bucher, director for structural reforms and competitiveness at the European Commission’s DG economic and financial affairs, on the current state of structural reforms in Europe, particularly with regards to the public sector, as well as the solutions to the Euro crisis and tools to shore up European competitiveness.
