Green, Digital and Competitive: An SME Agenda for the 21st Century
The Lisbon Council convened the High-Level Roundtable on Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Science to discuss the opportunities and trade-offs between climate goals and the deployment of AI.
As the European Commission launched the AI innovation package, the Lisbon Council convened a High-Level Working Lunch on Artificial Intelligence for Scientific Discovery, bringing together experts from business and academia with European decision-makers to discuss AI’s transformative potential and the crucial role of well-designed policies in nurturing a thriving European science ecosystem.
The Lisbon Council convened the High-Level Working Lunch on the Future of Personalised Ads to bring together experts, businesses and representatives from the European Union and discuss the state of play, opportunities and challenges of personalised advertising as well as how future policy actions can balance these out.
With the Digital Markets Act deadline of 06 March 2024 fast approaching, a key roundtable will focus on the effective implementation of choice screens. The discussion aims to translate principles into consumer empowerment and provide practical guidance on navigating the regulatory landscape.
With a focus on sustainable computing, the Lisbon Council has published the “Sustainable Computing for a Sustainable Planet: How Technological Innovation and Good Governance Can Help Unleash the Benefits of Artificial Intelligence Without Compromising the Green Transition” policy brief. The special report deep dives into how innovations and future policy frameworks can harness digital opportunities while supporting Europe’s climate goals.
