Martha Papadopoulou

Project Manager and Research Associate

Martha Papadopoulou is a project manager and research associate at the Lisbon Council. She holds a master’s degree in political analysis and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Over the past six years, she has worked as a research associate for private companies, universities and non-governmental organisations, providing support in research and the management of European projects. Ms Papadopoulou specialises in political and electoral analysis as well as political discourse theory, electoral behaviour, populism, hate speech, radical ideologies and democratic challenges, with a focus on European challenger parties and the related implications for party systems. Her recent work includes participation as a research assistant in numerous studies and surveys conducted by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the University of Macedonia.
