Quantum Computing: The Next Frontier

The Lisbon Council convened High-Level Workshop on Quantum Computing: The Next Frontier, bringing together an eclectic group of policymakers, stakeholders and high-end computing experts for a discussion on the promise – and prospects – for quantum computing in the near future.

The discussion was led by two leading scientists – Shirin Montazeri, senior silicon designer, Google Quantum AI, and Trond I. Andersen, research scientist, Google Quantum AI. The two kicked off the debate with an overview of where quantum was headed, what questions it would raise and what opportunities it would provide. The Lisbon Council will remain active on this dossier, continuing to use its unique platform to explore the cutting edge of tomorrow’s digital technology and foster high-level debate around evidence, opportunity and the challenges ahead.
