< BACK TO ABOUT Marieke Willems Senior Research Associate and Project Manager Marieke Willems is a senior research associate and project manager at the Lisbon Council. She is involved in the coordination, dissemination, stakeholder engagement and policy impact strategies for research and innovation projects funded by the European Union on democracy and social innovation. She holds a master of science in communication science from the Radboud University in the Netherlands and a master’s in business administration from the Escuela de Alta Dirección y Administración in Barcelona. Her latest work focused on impact creation, dissemination and policy engagement of research results in several European projects and initiatives in the fields of evidence-based policymaking, open science and research infrastructures.
