The Lisbon Council hosted the launch of Economic Growth in the European Union, an e-book based on comprehensive comparative analyses of European growth patterns, by Leszek Balcerowicz, author of Polish structural reforms which delivered the longest, most sustained period of economic growth in modern European history. Prof Balcerowicz presented his findings in The 2013 Ludwig Erhard Lecture. The study is part of the Growth and Competitiveness Initiative, a multi-year research project, which will be chaired by Prof Balcerowicz and managed by the Lisbon Council.
