The Lisbon Council launches The Forum, a dedicated space on the Lisbon Council website devoted to innovative policy proposals and robust proposals. This week, Elina Lepomäki, member of the Parliament of Finland, and Prof Enzo Weber, chair of empirical economics at the University of Regensburg and head of forecasts and macroeconomic analyses at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) at the Federal Employment Agency in Germany, publish Welfare Reform in Post-COVID-19 Europe: New Thinking for a Post-Crisis World – a look at how the European welfare system has performed throughout the pandemic that includes proposals for turning the lessons learned into better lives for Europeans and citizens everywhere.
